I’m with you. I’ve been thinking why I want to write on Substack in the first place. I want to make my writing more enjoyable, for me and for my readers. I like the direction you are going, what feels more aligned to you.

Katja, thank you so much for mentioning my post! ♡ We went through really similar experiences this year in terms of business and Substack. 2024 was a year of experimenting and finding clarity; 2025 will be a year of growth. Happy Holidays!

My dear Daughter,

Thank you for recommending my post in a specially targeted message to all. The briefest history will continue soon, after my children and grandchildren leave back to their home bases. When visiting their old Opa, he concentrates on them. Collects new spirit and energy for the next months, sitting in the old house and share the experiences of his long life.

I read the shared wisdom that I have to write what is important to my readers. Nice goal, I may never achieve it, and die broke. I can write enthusiastically about what I was a part of. Either in the title role or as a witness. Fiction is not my niche, as the real events pack me full -at least for the time being.

Enjoy your time with your children and grandchildren! I’m excited to read what comes next after you’re filled with new energy and inspiration. Your stories are already so unique, there's no need for fiction. Please keep going! Thank you so much, and have a wonderful holiday season.
